SHINeeについて調べたこと

まず、"Juliette"は、単にアメリカのヒット曲（"Deal with it" ハイスクール・ミュージカルの主役の友達役Corbin Bleuが歌ってる）のカバーだと思ってたのだけどこれが違った！もっと深いつながりがあった！Juliette=Deal with itはRemeeというデンマーク人とJay Seanというイギリス人の共作（Jay Seanはイギリス版Ne-Yoと書いてあった）。このRemeeという人は、かなりSMエンタとつながりが深くBOA、東方神起、Super Juniorにも楽曲提供している。おそらく、カバーというよりも曲単位でいろんな国のアーチストに売るビジネスなんではないかと。

さらに、SHINeeの"Love Like Oxygen(酸素みたいな君)"という曲はRemeeとThomas Troelsenと共作で、この２人組はヨーロッパのヒットチャートで大活躍してるみたいなんだけど、Thomas Troelsenの方は、なななんとJunior Senior "Move Your Feet"のプロデューサー！そういえばJunior Seniorってデンマーク人だったか。そりゃもうSHINeeにはまるのも必然でしょう！どうもユーロビジョンソングコンテストってのが韓国エンタメ界の青田買い市場になってるっぽい。今後調査を進めていきたいところ。他にもJulietteのエンジニアはAce of Baseのアルバムに参加してた人だったり。

いやー、音楽業界のグローバル化をひしひしと感じますねー。SHINee の面白さって、黒い音楽をアジアの細い男の子が歌っているアンバランスさでもあるし、それ自体悪いこととは思わないのだけど、一方で、エポックメイキングとなった"Ring Ding Dong"が、韓国人プロデューサー、ユ・ヨンジンによって作られたという事実はやはり重要なことだと思う。Super Juniorが現在アジアで熱狂的に受け入れられているのも、ユ・ヨンジン制作の"Sorry Sorry"のヒットあってこそ。ハングルで歌ってみるとわかるんだけど、Remee & Troelsenの作った曲より圧倒的に"Ring Ding Dong"の方が歌いやすい。"Sorry Sorry"もそうなんだけど、ハングルを乗せて歌う時の譜割りが自然なんだよね。これって、ハングルわからないで聞いてる人たちにとっても心地よく感じるんじゃないかな。これはカバーでは絶対にできないこと。実際周囲の友達の間でSHINeeいいじゃん！ってなったの"Ring Ding Dong"がきっかけだもん。ま、結局、SMエンタに手玉にとられているような気もするなｗ

Juliette is cover version of "Deal with it" by Corbin Bleu who appeared in "High School Musical." "Julliet" is produced by Remee who is Danish musician and Jay Sean who is stated British Ne-Yo. Remee has close links with SM Entertainment. He provided BOA, TVXQ and Super Junior etc. with tracks. I think it's not so much cover but Remee sold his tracks various singers from different countries at the same time.

SHINee's "Love Like Oxygen" is co-produced by Remee and Thomas Troelsen. They are active in Europe pop music scene. Thomas Troelsen is producer of Junior Senior's "Move Your Feet." Oh! I loved it! Come to think of it, Junior Senior is Danish unit.

I feel the globalization in world music scene! I think it isn't a bad thing because a part of SHINee's appeal is curious combination that Asian slender boys sing Afro-American music. But it is really important that their epoch-making hit tune "Ring Ding Dong" is produced by Korean producer Yoo Young Jin. Super Junior also built up their status as Asian pop star after "Sorry Sorry" produced by Yoo Young Jin. The words of "Ring Ding Dong" are more consistent with each note than other songs of SHINee. The same holds for "Sorry Sorry." These seem perfectly natural to sing in Korean and sound smooth although we cannot understand Korean. That's impossible in cover tunes. Actually "Ring Ding Dong" is the first SHINee's song that my friends praised. Anyway we are easily manipulated by SM Entertainment!
